Mikayla

I will openly and unashamedly admit I need to step up my own game with showing my face more online, but I still couldn’t agree more that’s it’s crucial to make sure you show your face to your clients as a photographer at least a handful of times throughout the year on your social media feeds.

Especially if you currently have a logo as your profile picture like I have had for the longest time, it’s so refreshing to go on other photographer’s social media feeds and occasionally see who’s behind the camera of all the beautiful work I’ve been coming across. Take fellow creative Mikayla, for instance—she does an excellent job especially with reaching and getting in touch with people through her slice of life IG stories! But if you’re a little more shy about your video presence like I am, photos with informative captions about your brand and your everyday life as a creative can work just as well!

Since Mikayla also doesn’t live far from Downtown Detroit, I feel like going around a city like this, that’s so inspiring to so many Michigan based creatives, is a perfect fit for this kind of occasion. I’m telling you, if you’re ready to get in better touch on a personal level with any given target audience of clients, them seeing your beautiful face along with your baby (camera,) or your real baby / babies too, (it’s up to you how big you want to go,) that is really going to help seal the deal with most people booking you—take it from me, a creator and a consumer of photography sessions!
