Sarah S.

I’ve really been looking forward to Spring this year, because I made it a goal of mine to go out and do more sessions because of how beautiful the season here in the Midwest truly is—but as beautiful as it is, it comes and goes seemingly at the blink of an eye. If you want to make the most of all the dogwoods that pop up here, you definitely have to act sooner than later, or they’ll just end up transitioning into typical green leaves before you’re expecting it. That’s why Sarah’s senior session couldn’t have been done at a better time this Spring!

During our time together, Sarah confessed that she’s never had professional photographs done since she was younger! And especially when I look back on how things went, I couldn’t have been more shocked to learn this—had she not confided in me like that, I would’ve never thought that this was the first time in a long time that she had been in front of a lens. She was near immediately a complete natural! We couldn’t have had more fun exploring the historic grounds we were shooting in, especially since Sarah also had asked if I knew of any locations that brought to mind the architecture of a greenhouse.

Best of all, although it was Sarah’s first time at the location we met up at, she wore the two most perfect outfits to match our surroundings—a floral patterned dress that brought out the pink flowers hanging from a couple of weeping willows we came across and a ruffled green top that complimented all the ivy we found snaking up different parts of the architecture around us.
